Está neste momento a decorrer o Cape-Epic, uma das mais mediáticas provas por etapas em BTT da actualidade. Como não podia deixar de ser tenho seguido os relatos, particularmente das equipas tugas, algumas das quais muito bem em termos de classificação.
Tenho visto muito belas paisagens e tem ajudado a incrementar a vontade de pedalar.
Continuo sem muito tempo pra isso à semana, mas ao fim de semana tenho-me vingado e pedalo sábados e domingos. Felizmente para mim no próximo fim de semana a hora vai mudar e possivelmente conseguirei dar umas curtas voltas nos dias em que sair mais cedo do trabalho... A ver se em Maio não sou eu a ir para a carrinha.
A BTT tem tido oportunidade de sacudir o pó e muitos tratamentos de pintura à base de lama. No último sábado lá se foram umas pastilhas de travão. Mas foram bem merecidas, bem me diverti pelas veredas da Swinley Forest. Este fim de semana devo ir fazer umas derrapagens na lama.
The Cape Epic is now in full blow. One of the most renowned MTB stage races of present. I'm naturally following all the news and particularly the Portuguese teams, some of which with top results.
Been seeing some very nice pictures and my urge to turn the cranks had a boost. Still don't have much time for it during the week, but been managing to ride on both saturdays and sundays. Luckily this saturday the clock is going forward and I might start doing some short rides when I finish work earlier... Still trying to get in decent shape for May.
The MTB has had some chances to shake the dust of and get some mud based paint job treatments. Last saturday just smoked both the brake pads. Well deserved ones, had a lot of fun on the singletracks of Swinley Forest. Will try to do the same this coming weekend.
